2002 Ash Bown Regatta Report by Bill Hardesty 13 boats competed in the 2002 Ash Bown Star Regatta held October 26-27 at the San Diego Yacht Club. Light shifty winds and kelp plagued the regatta but in the end there was just enough wind and daylight to get 5 full races completed. After a morning wind postponement the San Diego Yacht Club Race Committee got in two races before the wind fully died. In the first race the breeze was light but steady. Will and I found Star #7737 using Ross McDonalds hand me down North Sails moving well in these conditions. Rodrigo Meriles of North Sails One Design set the boat up as per the tuning guide, gave us a couple of pointers, and whished us luck. We won the first race but were followed closely by Jeremy Davidson and Jessica Costa from Alamitos Bay Yacht Club with third place going to locals Gregg Morton and Gary Mitchell. The breeze built just a bit for the second race on Saturday to a point where we almost had the crews over the side. It was locals Mike Dorgan and Eric Weintraub out in front. The favored right side of the course was the place to be. Just when we thought the breeze had settled it had died again and the lead boats were sitting in a big hole. My crew Will Stout saw a bit of breeze on the right side so we split from the leaders, Dorgan/Weintraub, and came back across in the lead. Sometimes it's better to be lucky than good. After a great Saturday night Oktoberfest party at Jay Butler's we all had an extra hours sleep due to the time change but the wind was still struggling. Once the storm cells moved out the area the breeze started to fill in. The first race Sunday started with Will and I in the lead but Dorgan and Weintraub passed in a short tacking dual as the breeze became fluky. Race 4 in the series was easily won by Argyle Campbell with Kevin Bowles who led from the start to finish, nice job Argyle and Kevin. In the final race Will and I had a great boat end start that took us all the way around the course. Dorgan and Weintraub fought hard and nearly passed us at the finish but we held on tight to squeak out the last race of the series victory. Thank you goes out to the San Diego Yacht Club, The Butler Family, and everyone behind the scene who helped put the event together. I personally would like to thank North Sails for the hand me down sails and Eric Doyle and Rodrigo Meireles for the use of Star #7737. I hope to see you at the Kriss Kringle in December. 2002 Michlobe Cup Report by John MacCausland
With tropical storm Kyle passing by the Mid-Atlantic States on Saturday it brought us dark and stormy clouds with breeze from the North-Northeast at 12 to 13 knots. Very challenging conditions with many shifts, rough water and a strong outgoing tide. Race one saw John MacCausland and John Avis lead at the first mark with a good lead. The rest of the fleet was tightly packed at this rounding. On the second beat Tom Price and Will Wagner made a strong push at the lead boat, falling just short at the weather mark. MacCausland and Avis opened up on the run to finish with a comfortable lead. Tom Price crossed second with Barbara Vosbury and Trapper Lippincott third. Race two was very similar to the first race but with more outgoing current the left side of the beat became more favored. At the first mark Tom Price and Will Wagner were followed closely by John Vanderhoff and Scott Karr. On the run the left paid having a more favorable current. Barbara Vosbery and Trapper Lippincott sailed a great run rounding the leeward mark overlapped with Tom Price for the lead. Both boats went right on the last beat which let John Vanderhoff and John MacCausland free to go to the left. Both Johns made a large gain on the lead boats. About half way up the leg they passed the lead boats. During the second half of the leg John and John opened up on the fleet. By the weather mark John MacCausland had a nice lead on John Vanderhoff who in turn had a good lead on the rest of the fleet. On the run to the finish things stayed pretty much the same. At the line it was John MacCausland then John Vanderhoff with Tom Price in third. The forecast for Sunday was promising but never materialized. No wind, no racing and the standings stayed as they were on Saturday. Jack Lynch and his race committee did a great job on Saturday. Too bad they did not get a chance on Sunday. For North this was the end of a very good season on the east coast and particularly the Chesapeake Bay. On the Bay this season North Sails won all but two of the major weekend events. Well next year we will have to go for a perfect record. 1st John MacCausland & John Avis 1-1 = 2 pts. North 2nd Tom Price & Will Wagnor 2-3 = 5 pts 3rd John Vanderhoff & Scott Karr 4-2 = 6pts.
2002 Oxford Fall Wind-up Regatta Report by John MacCausland 2002 OXFORD FALL WIND-UP
Sunday dawned beautiful with light northeast wind. By the time we all
arrived at the race course the wind started to get lighter, and by the
time we were half way up the first boat the wind was very light and
shifty. The At the finish it was MacCausland, Collins and Lippincott for the top three. We all had a great weekend, thanks again to Richard Lippincott and the Tred Avon Yacht Club.
2002 Nutmeg Regatta Report by John MacCausland 2002 NUTMEG REGATTA
By about 1:30 we started to see some wind coming from the southeast. The committee sprang to action setting the course and getting ready to start the first race. The wind was still light when we started the race. By the time the first boats reached the first mark there was very little wind and an adverse current. The boats that got around the mark opened up nicely on the boats that were still going to weather. The first weather leg almost took one hour and it was only 1.25 miles long. By the time we reached the leeward mark the committee chose to shorten the race and finish us at the leeward mark. Dave and Geoff Chittick won the race with Carol Gracco and Peter Costa second, John MacCausland and Sean Delaney hung on for third. The breeze finally filled in and we were able to start the race in
8 to 10 MPH. It felt great to be able to hike for a whole race. John
MacCausland led at each mark to win the race. John Lombard and Kip Gardner
were second Sunday was one more day of summer, warm with light breeze. By the time we started the wind was very light. At the first mark John Bainton and Will Christensen led with Ben Cesare close on their heels. On the first run Ben was able to pass John and open up a huge lead by the leeward mark. Ben was over twenty minutes ahead. On the next leg the wind was light and right. Ben protected the right side of the course which at the time was the right thing to do. John Lombard rounded the leeward mark in tenth place. He and Kip worked towards the left. By the time we neared the second weather mark the committee chose to shorten the course. The three legs that we sailed had taken the leaders nearly three hours. Near the finish the wind on the right had all but died. Here came John Lombard from the left in the best breeze on the course. John & Kip came within a boat length of winning the race. Remember John had to be twenty five minutes behind Ben at the last mark. John MacCausland and Sean Delaney hung on for third. With this finish MacCausland and Delaney sealed the overall victory. Thanks again to the Mid-Connecticut Star Fleet and Milford Yacht Club for putting on another great event. Remember Milford Yacht Club puts on two events each year, we all appreciate what they do for Star sailing in the Northeast, thanks. 1. John MacCausland & Sean Delaney 3-1-3 = 7pts North
2002 Lake George Open Regatta Report by John MacCausland September 14 - 15, 2002 After a long summer with not much breeze we were blessed with two days of wind. Saturday we raced two races in a nice southwesterly of 10 to 20 knots. There were quite a few shifts to make the racing very challenging. By the end of the day, having sailed two races, John MacCausland and John Wulff were in the lead, having won both races. The next four boats were only separated by one point. Very close racing. Saturday night the Northern Lake George Star Fleet put on a great steak cookout. There was more food than anybody could eat. Thanks to all that helped to put this event on. Sunday morning, to all our surprise, it was not raining. The forecast was for rain, heavy at times. It did not look good for sailing on Saturday night. But as we all know the weather forecast never seems to be right. By 10 am we were all on the water for the start. Again we had a good southwesterly breeze, about 10-15 knots with a few shifts thrown in for good measure. MacCausland and Wulff lead at each mark to seal the overall victory. But the real race was for second. Dave Cook, Peter Hall, Rick Dhein and Hank Rowan all had their chance to finish second during the last race. But in the end Rick Dhein and Bruce Hatfield came out on top. Peter Hall, in his second Star regatta was third. Lake George is a beautiful place to be this time of year and we hope the Star Fleet will carry on the tradition of having us to their Yacht Club each fall. By the way the rain held off until we all had our boats packed and ready for the trip home. So much for the weather forecast.
2002 Sunapee Open By Richard Burgess
Well, first the Lake Sunapee Star Fleet hosted a fantastic North American Championship. Then, right on its tail, they host another fabulous regatta-their annual Lake Sunapee Open. The off-water activities and fabulous food of Lake Sunapee Yacht Club have spoiled us rotten. Friday night we were treated to delicious seafood buffet and on Saturday night we enjoyed the renowned steak dinner, cooked by the local star sailors. Hazy, hot, humid, and no wind were the weather conditions on Saturday, so the racing was canceled. All was not lost as John Mac and myself hiked up a local mountain to get a little exercise and then enjoyed the hospitably of our host, Sam Rowse, and we went swimming. Many of the other sailors stayed at the club and relaxed in the bright sun and clear, clean water of beautiful Lake Sunapee. On Sunday morning the lake looked as still and smooth as a mirror and some were dubious that we would race at all. But then a nice little breeze started coming from the south and the race committee sent us out. The first race started in a very light southerly with crews to leeward. As we sailed up the first leg the breeze continued to build and we started hiking. At the weather mark, Peter Hall of the Montreal, Canadian fleet, was in the lead, we were second, and John Chiarella was third. We were fortunate to get a little shift on the second beat and rounded in front of Peter, and then we held our position to the finish line. The second race started in puffy 8 to 12 knots of southerly wind and again Peter Hall called the first beat perfectly and lead at the weather mark, with Andy Ivey second, and John Mac and me in third. As we got to the leeward mark Andy did a really nice job getting inside of Peter and rounding first, with Hall second, and us third. The order stayed the same to the weather mark, but on the run "Lil" Mac worked his downwind magic and managed to get by Hall. The final upwind to the finish was a little nerve racking as the breeze was shifty, Ivey was covering us, and we were trying to stay ahead of Hall. When we got to the finish line it was Ivey, MacCausland, Hall. This was Peter Hall's first time in a star and he is going to make
a nice addition to the 12th district. Peter is a past World Champion
in both the Soling and Lighting Class's. We also want to thank the race committee for a well-done job. We all know that without your work, there would be no racing. Thanks again to the Lake Sunapee Star Sailors, and to the wonderful crew at the Sunapee Yacht club. Final results: 8068 John MacCausland/Rick Burgess CR 1 2 3
San Diego Team Wins 2002 Star Lipton Cup Report courtesy Kent Pierce
The ornate Cup was deeded to the Santa Barbara Yacht Club by British tea tycoon Sir Thomas Lipton and first contested in 1923. It is adorned with the names of some of the greatest names in sailing including Lowell North, Tom Blackaller, Dennis Conner, Vince Brun, Eric Doyle & Mark Reynolds. This is the second time Meireles will have his name engraved on the elaborate trophy. Meireles won the event in 2000 crewing for Eric Doyle, former Star boat world champion currently training in New Zealand for the America's Cup with Team Oracle BMW. Qualifiying races for the America's Cup begin this October in Auckland, New Zealand. Meireles is a professional sailmaker with the North Sails One Design loft in San Diego. Meireles' skipper this time was Rick Merriman, a pilot for Federal Express and verteran of Dennis Conner's Stars & Stripes America's Cup campaign. Rick is also an Etchells 22 world champion crew. Merriman and Meireles found the lighter breezes to their liking and won the regatta in dominant fashion posting scores of 1-2-1-1-1. The five races were sailed over a two-day period with winds in the range of 5-7 knots both days, building slightly for the last race on Sunday.
Second place was captured by Ian Walker and Nick Williams of Australia. Walker appears to adjusting back to small boats nicely after recently completing the Volvo 'Round the World Race with Team News Corp. Reigning Star World Champion, three time Finn world champion, Olympic bronze medalist in the Finn class and Volvo 'Round the World veteran from Team SEB, Frederik Loof of Sweden finished the regatta in third place with crew Anders Ekstrom. Other participants included Finn class gold medallist Iain Percy of Great Britain with crew Steve Mitchell; and, renowned Australian yacht designer and 1987 America's Cup helmsman Iain Murray with crew Andrew Palfrey. 2002 District 2 Highlights - North Wins 5 out of 6 2002 events! Report by John MacCausland 2002 LIPPINCOTT MEMORIAL
REGATTA The conditions this weekend varied greatly. Saturday we had light wind and flat seas. Sunday was a shifty north westerly wind of 18 to 25 knots. Going into Sunday's gear buster three boats were within 2 points with one race to go. John MacCausland and Bob Schofield lead at every mark with Tom Price and Will Wagner second at each mark. MacCausland survived a spectacular wipe out on the last run to win the race and the series in a tie breaker with Tom Price. Aron Serinis finished 5th in the final race and 3rd in the series. Using LC-1 Main and R-2 Jib, we were able to go through the large range of conditions - 5 to 8 mph on Saturday to 18 to 25 mph on Sunday. Truly an all around set of sails. RESULTS
2002 2ND DISTRICT CHAMPIONSHIP With 23 boats attending this year's Districts, we had our largest turnout in many years. This year's series was mainly a light air affair. Saturday we went out in the bay to race. Race one got off without a hitch. We sailed for over 1 hour and did not reach the first weather mark. The committee abandoned the race. Race one, the second version, was another light air contest. The left side paid big on the first beat. Aaron Serinis and Chris Brown lead at every mark to win the race with John LeCourt and Chris Hardin second. Race 2 started with the left paying again. Aaron and Chris were out
in the lead with many close in pursuit. As the race went on what little
wind there was finally died to nothing at the last mark. With the wind
shutting off the next breeze came 180 degrees different then it was,
still very light. By the finish there was almost no wind. With all the
shifting of the wind, the fleet also changed positions as much. John
MacCausland and Sean Delaney came through with the win and Aaron Serinis
took it on the chin the hardest and finished 20th. A very long day. John MacCausland and Sean Delaney sailed very solid to finish out with
a 2 - 1 - 1 to win the District Championship. Again the LC-1 Main and R-2 Jib seemed to be a very good combination for the light air and flat water that we encountered. RESULTS
Race 2 & 3 were sailed in just a little more wind than race one.
In general the fleet stayed very close around the race course in both
races. John Vanderhoff and Rowan Perkins won the second race with John
MacCausland and Sean Delaney winning the third race. After three races on Saturday there were 3 boats within 2 points. Sunday
dawned rainy with a good breeze from the east. The committee chose to
sail in the river. Race one on Sunday again had the fleet very close
together for the majority of the race. As the race went on the breeze
slowly went down. MacCausland and Delaney held on for a hard fought
win. Race 2 on Sunday started with about 5 to 8 mph of wind. As time went
on the breeze got lighter and lighter until it shut down. The committee
abandoned the race at the last mark with MacCausland and Delaney in
the lead. MacCausland and Delaney came out on top with Trapper Lippincott and
Barbara Vosbury second and Tom Price and Will Wagner third. Weekend after weekend the combination of the
LC-1 Main and R-2 Jib seem
to be hard to beat. RESULTS
With wins in the SSA Spring Regatta, Lippincott Memorial, 2nd District Championship, SSA Keelboat and Miller Series, North Sails have won 5 of 6 events in the 2nd. District. With our LC-1 Main and R-2 Jib North is definitely on a roll.
Star Sail Test North Sails San Diego and North Sails UK working together to improve the Star sails for the 2002 Worlds. Report by Rodrigo Meireles Following our schedule, we had our second training session in preparation for the 2002 Star Worlds, Marina Del Rey from June 24th to the 29th. The same teams were present: John MacCausland, Rick Merriman, Rick Peters, Bill Bennett and the British Team Ian Percy, Steve Mitchell and Paul Hobson (North Sails UK). Conditions: The weather was typical Del Rey conditions: 7-12 knots and very choppy. These are the conditions that we expect for the Worlds in August. Sail Improvements: Based on the conclusions of the first training camp in San Diego, both North lofts (San Diego and UK) worked together to improve the designs. New sets of sails were taken to Marina del Rey, and after 6 days of extensive tests and analysis we are confident that our sails are the fastest and the best choice for the Star Worlds.

2002 South American Championships Report by Rodrigo Meireles January 7, 2002 - I have just finished racing the Star South American Championship held by the Rio de Janeiro Yacht Club (Brazil). They did a great job, we had 6 races with winds from 8 to 18 knots and big swells. It was a good opportunity to see old friends and sail again in Rio (what a weather...). There were 28 boats with 4 gold medallist, 3 World champions and few others great sailors. Torben Grael and Marcelo Ferreira won the regatta with 7 points, I sailed with an old friend Alan Adler finishing in second with 14 points,we had a slow beginning , but by the end of the regatta we were going as fast or faster than Torben. We were using a MaxRoach Mainsail and a J-7 jib. Another interesting thing about this regatta was the prizes - MONEY
and we were fortunate to get a R$ 3000,00 check (US$ 1300,00), see pictures
below.
2001 Calvin Paige Regatta - North 1st! Report by Rodrigo Meireles October 22, 2001 - This past weekend we sailed the Calvin Page Star
Regatta in San Francisco. As expected it was cold and windy. The turnout
was pretty good with 20 boats racing in the city front. Most of the
the good West Coast Star sailor were there. I crewed for Eric Doyle
and we were fortunate to win the regatta with 9 points over the second
place. We used a new Star main that we are developing and the R2 jib
(Heavy air jib). The main did very well, speed was not a problem.
2001 Bedford Pitcher - North 1st! Report by John MacCausland This years Bedford Pitcher was scheduled for September 15-16 the weekend after the World Trade Center disaster. The Cedar Point YC and the star fleet chose not to run the event and postpone it till October 6-7. The weather during the week leading up to the event was wonderful warm southerly breezes and sunny skies. On Friday night a strong cold front passed over the area and in its wake the temperature dropped 25 degrees and the wind shifted from the Southwest to the Northwest and picked up to 25 to 35 knots. Saturday was windy and very cold so by 1 PM the race committee decided to cancel the racing for the day and try for two races early Sunday moring. Later that afternoon William Swigger and Carroll Bee went for a sail, they came back with the opinion that the committee had made the right decision. We also moved the dinner from the evening to a late lunch which was very nice. Tim Duval a fleet member did all the cooking and did a spectular job. Sunday donned windy and very cold but the forecast was for raceable
conditions early and then becoming much windier. The plan was to go
out and try to get the races in before the big wind came. Out of the
14 boats that had registered 8 chose to go out for the racing. Once
we arrived on the course it was not that windy. The race got off without
a hitch. At the first mark Pete Cusick had a little problem and his
mast came down. Pete was in good shape when this happened second place.
On the reaches we did not even plane every thing was going just fine
with the wind at this point. On the way to the course and during the
race we lost four of the boats that came out to the race each had a
different problem one boat went a ground in a very large puff another
broke his mast, the third had batten problems and the last boat was
late for the start. The committee chose to send us in after the finish. This was a good call by the time we hit the dock the wind was in the 25 to 35 knot range with some bigger puffs. After we put our boats away the fleet had a large pot of hot soup that was great after being cold and wet earlier in the day. Thanks to all that were involved hopefully next year the weather will cooperate. Overall Results
North 1st at the 2001 Nutmeg Regatta! Report by John MacCausland The Nutmeg Regatta is the fall event that the Milford Yacht club runs each year. Along with the Nutmeg this year Milford Y. C. also hosted the Arms White and the Star North Americans. Running any one of these events would be enough for one yacht club to handle. But Mifford Y. C. handled this with ease. There is many people behind the scenes that make these events happen. Jack Button is one of these, he does so much to make these events run smoothly and does not ask for any thing back. It was very nice to see Jack Button win the Nutmeg Regatta this year.
He and Chris Batchelor sail very consistently in very difficult conditions
scoring three third place finishes for the overall win. Jack was powered by North Sails to win the regatta. He also won the Atlantic Coast Masters this Summer with North Sails. Congratulations Jack!
North 1,2 at the Lake George Open Regatta! Report by John MacCausland LAKE GEORGE OPEN After a trying week for our country and many events being canceled,
Northern Lake George Star Fleet chose to go ahead with their regatta
and let the sailors decide to participate or not. Sunday dawned sunny and nice - 12 to 15 knots southerly. This was a great weekend with beautiful weather. Our thanks to the Northern Lake George Yacht Club for a very nice weekend.
North Wins the 67th Miller Memorial Series! Report by John MacCausland On the East coast we have many regattas that have a long history. The Miller Series has just that the series started in 1932 and except for the war years it has run continually to this date. Names like Etchells, Lippincott, Ogilvy, Allsopp, Beek, Ruggles are only a few of the 67 winners. This years event was run on the weekend of July 7-8. We had a nice breeze on Saturday 10 to 14 from the south west. For the Chesapeake in the summer it was as close to heaven as it gets. The first race the right paid on the first beat Davis Buckley and John Rodgers lead at every mark only to be passed right at the line by John Vanderhoff and Rowan Perkins. Race two same race course, same breeze one hour later the left paid big. The leader this race was Tom Price and Wil Wagner they held this lead to the last leeward mark of the windward leeward course were John MacCausland and Shane Zwingelberg just got an inside overlap and were able to hold the lead to the finish. Tom Price held in for second holding of a late charge from John Vanderhoff. So Sunday started off with John Vanderhoff with a 1-3, John MacCausland 4-1 and Tom Price with a 6-2. The conditions for Sunday were a little different from Saturday. Breeze more to the west and about 5 to 8 mph. The first beat the right
paid John Vanderhoff and Arron Serinis were the lead boats from this
side. With John MacCausland and Tom Price the 2 most left boats and
rounding well behind the leaders. From here on the race only got wilder
their was good puffs from the right and in-between the puffs there was
not much wind. On the first run the fleet got a little bunched up. The
lead boats tacked around the leeward mark which let john MacCausland
get his nose out to the right. Which was the way to go the fleet then
started to work the right side.the second weather mark Arron lead with
Trapper Lippincott and Barbara Arron and Chris Brown who lead the whole race finished fourth. Tom Price came back form the dead to finish fifth with John Vanderhoff finishing sixth. With these mixed up finishes it took a little time to figure out the overall places. A good time was had by all and thanks to the Gibson Island Yacht Squadron Overall Results For more information on our Star program, contact the North Star experts.
Tomahawk Series - North 1,3! Report by John MacCausland Over the weekend of June 2-3 we went to Lake Hopatcong, New Jersey for the 43 rd running of the Tomahawk Series. With past winners like Herb Hild,Howard Lippincott and Ed Adams this event has a great history. Friday afternoon we had planed to do an on the water clinic but the weather did not cooperate. Too much wind, rain and thunder storms which did not let us get on the water. But we used the time to talk about star sailing and went over some of the boats. The rain finely let up mid morning Saturday. The fleet of 18 boats
hit the water. The breeze was forecast to be from the south but like
usual it was not to be. We sailed the first race in a light northly.John
MacCausland and George Iverson lead wire to wire. Gene & Kevin Murphy
sailed a great race to finish second. John Finch was third. At the finish
the breeze shut down for Sunday morning the rain was back but soon to let up and make way for
clearing skies and good breeze. The racing was very exciting with lots
of shifts and big puffs.John MacCausland lead the pack with gene Murphy
close on his heals for another second and Rick Burgess third. The last
race of the series was lead by Jim & Matthew Freeman for 95% of
the way. With the most breeze of the day on the last beat John MacCausland
were able to just sneak by to complete the sweep. Final Results: John MacCausland &George Iverson 1-1-1 Total 3 pts North
Sails James & Matthew Freeman 5-6-2 Total 13 pts North Sails For more information on our Star sails, contact the North Star experts!
North Sails 1,3 at the 2001 District 2 Champs! Report by John MacCausland
Some of the top teams got caught on the left side of the second beat and paid a big price when the breeze filled more from the right. We were able to hang in for second, with Barbara Vosberry and Trapper Lippincott third. Race two was sailed in better conditions, 8 to 10 knots of wind. Once again we sailed a windward leeward course. Terry Hutchinson and Andrew Scott lead wire to wire. This race was uneventful. You had to go right on the beats and you could lay the leeward mark on starboard. Not much changing of places. Again we were able to hang tough for another second with Bob and Doug Schofield third. North Sails had another good weekend on the East Coast with Sails on the 1st. and 3rd. place boats.

Morgan Morgan, Jr. and Charles Beek win 2001 5th District Green Star Championship in Marianne, 7294 The Fifth District Green Star Championship was sailed June 2-3, 2001. Chuck and Barton Beek have singly perpetuated this important regatta over the years. They often loan their boats to prospective Star sailors and crew for them and encourage others to do likewise in the Green Star, Their yacht club, Newport Harbor, sponsored the regatta for many years. The last several years California Yacht Club has hosted the regatta because many of the under 7000 boats in the District are located there. Chuck Beek penciled the following E-Mail missile after his boat and he as crew again won the Green Star for the seventh consecutive time: . . . . please forgive me. There is a rule about bragging and there ought to be a rule about Marianne sailing in the Green Star! Yup, the old girl did it again last weekend, with Morgan trading in his four Green Bars for a Green Star. Gypsy boy here got to crew, and it was just wonderful sailing with Morgan who really has the hang of it and never made any mistakes, except when I told him to tack too soon for the marks. Here are the official results:
We had a great time at the California Yacht Club, and we met up with Mark Reynolds after the race. Morgan got a pat on the back from Mark. We met Elizabeth Newell who has a boat at Cedar Point We mainly felt pretty pleased with ourselves Morgan reports that the clock sounds just fine, thanks Rocky. See you soon, Chuck reference to the clock is the Green Star trophy which was donated
by Gold Star winner Malin Burnham (SDB).
