Teams powered by the M-16 won the 2009 Europeans, EuroLymp, Miami OCR, Bob Levin and other regattas... Mainsails include: battens, sail numbers, insignia, vision/spreader windows, and fold bag (roll bag available). V-1 ALL-PURPOSE MAINSAIL - Olympic Silver Medal SAIL SHAPE: The V-1 mainsail features a full and powerful shape that is great for all wind and wave conditions. It's a refined molded shape of our previous Max Roach mainsail, that gives the V-1 a much smoother and faster shape. SAIL CLOTH: Made out of minimum weight class legal 3.6 Polykote cloth from Contender. VISION WINDOW: The V-1 mainsail features a super sized vision and spreader window. CONTROLS: Super light Spectra leech cord, with control on both tacks, for easy adjustment when sailing. BATTEN POCKETS: Velcro loaded batten pockets for all battens. Mainsails include: battens, sail numbers, insignia, vision/spreader windows, and fold bag (roll bag available). CARBON BATTENS are also available, 40% lighter than the standard battens. R-2 ALL PURPOSE JIB #1 Worlds '07, #1 NAs '07 & 08, #1 Bacardi Cup '07 & '08 World Champion Hamish Pepper at the 2007 Miami OCR, powered by North R-2 Jib. Photo JH Peterson Our all-purpose jib is designed with a rounder entry that makes the sail fast in all conditions. PURE POWER! The R-2 was used by Hamish Pepper to win the 2006 Worlds, the North Americans and the 2007 Bacardi Cup! Iain Percy also used the R-2 Jib to Win the 2002 Worlds.. and Torben Grael used to Win the Gold Medal in Athens!!! With a rounder entry and very well developed design the R2 jib is easy to steer to and to set up. The jib is made out of 3.8 Polykote with 5.46 Polykote in the foot to make the sail last longer. Using a laser plotter, North Sails is able to build the smoothest jibs out of this cloth. This jib is also available in 5.46 Polykote for more durability and better heavy air performance. LM-2 LIGHT-MEDIUM JIB -- Olympic Silver Medal! The LM-2 jib is about 1.5% fuller than the R-2 model and performs best in light to medium breeze. The LM-2 jib is a refined version of the LM-1 that was designed with the help of World Champion Hamish Pepper. A very powerful jib for places with light winds and choppy water!
